ABOUT US

Emily has been playing the piano since the age of 3. She has been involved in a number of projects: the most exciting involving performing a high-profile series of shows with renowned Manchester band New Order as part of the Manchester International Festival, followed by an international tour in 2018. Since 2013 she has performed as a soloist for various events in a wide range of venues across Manchester and the UK, as well as holding several restaurant residencies. Alongside performing as a duo with Hannah, Emily enjoys working with pop vocalists, show bands, function bands and big and small jazz ensembles.

Over the years, Emily’s involvement in musical ensembles has given her the opportunity to perform in major venues such as the Bridgewater Hall, the Eden Project, Sheffield City Hall and Colston Hall.  She has also toured Spain with the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra. Emily has twice been awarded the ABRSM’s Vicars Close Prize and has held a Diploma of the ABRSM since 2013.

Trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, Emily was privileged to study with piano tutors Sally Ann Macleod and Dan Whieldon, while taking advantage of the range of masterclasses and tutorials offered in different styles of playing.

Having completed an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music, Hannah is currently studying for a Masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Soloist highlights include performances at Wigmore Hall, New Music North West Festival, concerto performances with the RNCM Sinfonietta and the Manchester Beethoven Orchestra and as a finalist of the RNCM Gold Medal Competition. 


Hannah enjoys performing a variety of genres and has performed and recorded with artists including Paloma Faith, Lily Allen, Craig David, Cory Wong, Emeli Sande and Sigma.

Orchestral and ensemble experiences include performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, a soloist role with the London Sinfonietta and Le Balcon at the Royal Festival Hall, performing with contemporary ensemble  ‘Bang on a Can All-Stars’ in their BBC Prom and working with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra with their Ten Pieces Project.

As a chamber musician Hannah has enjoyed concert tours of China and Switzerland, performed at the World Saxophone Congress, the European Saxophone Congress and live on BBC Radio 3.She has performed live on BBC Radio 1, and at venues including the Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall and Hammersmith Apollo. Hannah is the flute and saxophone performer on DJ Spoony's Garage Classical Album with Sony UK record label.
